Good questions

The honest answers.

No hype, no fine print. Here's exactly how Swapply works — and what it will never do.

How does Swapply actually submit an application?
When you swipe right, we tailor your resume to the role, draft the cover letter if one's needed, answer the screening questions, and fill out the employer's application form. On public application forms that don't require a login — the kind powered by Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby — we can submit it for you automatically and confirm it landed. Everywhere else, we prepare the whole thing and hand it back for you to finish in a tap.
What happens when a job needs a login, a CAPTCHA, or 2FA?
We hand it off to you — transparently, and for free. We never solve CAPTCHAs, never store your employer passwords, and never pretend a submission happened when it didn't. You still get the tailored resume and prepared answers, so finishing it yourself takes seconds instead of an hour. No credit is charged on a handoff, ever.
Will I get charged if it fails?
Never. A credit is used only when we confirm a real submission actually went through. If we can't prove it — failure, login wall, CAPTCHA, anything — you're not charged, and any reserved credit is released back to you. That single rule is the whole company.
Will it apply to jobs I don't want?
No. You're always in control — nothing is ever submitted without your right-swipe. Swipe left to pass and it's gone. Every job is also rated before you swipe (High / Medium / Low confidence) so you know exactly what will happen.
Is my resume safe? Who sees it?
Your resume and answers are only ever sent to the named AI providers we use to tailor your application — and only with your explicit consent. We never sell your data, never share it with data brokers, and never store your job-site passwords. Employers receive your application exactly as you'd send it yourself.
Which job boards do you cover?
We pull jobs directly from company application systems — primarily Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby — which is exactly where automatic, confirmable submission works best. We're US-first at launch and expanding coverage continuously. Jobs that live behind logins still show up; they're just handled as a free handoff.
How is this different from "auto-apply to 1,000 jobs" tools?
Those tools spray generic applications everywhere and bill you whether or not anything landed — which burns your name with recruiters. Swapply tailors every single application to the role, only submits where it can prove success, hands off honestly everywhere else, and only charges on a confirmed submit. Quality and trust over volume. Read our story →
When does the beta open?
We're onboarding in small batches right now. Join the waitlist and you'll get an invite as we open spots — you start with three free applications, no card required.
How much does it cost?
You start with three free applications — no card required. After that, one credit equals one application, and you're only ever charged a credit when we confirm a real submission. Handoffs are always free. Pricing details come when the beta opens; there are no surprise charges, ever.
Can I change my preferences or resume later?
Anytime. Roles, locations, salary, the works — everything is editable after onboarding, and you can swap your resume whenever you like. You're never locked into the choices you made on day one.
Do I have to review applications before they're sent?
That's up to the job's confidence rating. High-confidence jobs can be submitted automatically; medium-confidence ones pause for your quick review before sending; low-confidence ones are always handed to you. You decide how hands-on you want to be — and nothing is ever sent without your right-swipe.
